New Toyota Crossover Brings Sportiness to Crossover Class

We are getting excited here at Larry H. Miller Boulder Toyota. The all-new 2018 Toyota Coupe High-Rider (C-HR) will be available in April and we can’t wait for you to drive it. The C-HR moves Toyota forward in design, manufacturing, and engineering. In fact,, Associate Editor of Edmunds Cameron Rogers stated that “sportiness finally arrives to the subcompact crossover class.”

First, you’ll be attracted to the car’s edgy, sophisticated exterior. Deep, curvy character lines convey luxury with two slim projector-beam halogen headlights. The C-HR is available in many colors, including Ruby Flare Pearl, Blizzard Pear, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Black Sand Pearl.

Then, the interior will really draw you in. It has a modern look because it’s spacious and uncluttered. A soft diamond pattern fills the “MeZONE.” The dashboard is slightly angled to help you have a clear view of the road ahead, along with a 7-inch audio display positioned in the center of the dash to reduce eye movements.

You and your passengers will love the bucket seats that add extra comfort, added foot space under the front seats, small item in-door storage, and ample cup holders. Cargo space includes 60/40 seats that can fold flat, in addition to a secret department in the sidewall for smaller items and in compartments below the deck board.

Once you drive, you’ll be in love. The engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder dual cam produces 144 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 139 lb-feet of torque at 3,900 rpm. It also has Toyota’s Variable Valve Timing and Valvematic which helps increase fuel economy and smooth operation — both models are expected to have an MPG rating of 27 in the city and 31 on the highway.

State-of-the-art safety features include Toyota Safety Sense P™ or active braking, Pre-Collision System and Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert and Steering Assist function. The Steering Assist will act similar to tradition cruise control but also add a vehicle-to-vehicle control mode.

The 2018 Toyota Coupe High-Rider is expected to be in the range of $22,500 to $25,000.

Muscular Dystrophy Association Boulder

Larry H. Miller Toyota Boulder was honored to donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association last Saturday at the University of Colorado game.

2014 CruiserFest

5 Tips to Prepare Your Vehicle for Summer

Summer is getting started and that means warmer weather is on it’s way. It also means your vehicle needs to change over to the warmer temperatures as well. We have listed some basic tips to help you maintain your vehicle and be ready for the heat:

• Fluids: Oil, wiper, brake, and antifreeze should all be checked and filled.
• Tires: Check for those bald spots or any bulges that may have occurred. Check with your owner’s manual for the proper tire pressure.
• Battery: Check your battery cables for proper use. Don’t be stuck with a dead battery and no cables for yourself or a neighbor.
• Head and Brake lights: Do a safety check to make sure your lights are not dim or dead. 
• Wipers: Have fluids filled and if they need some replacing, invest in quality wipers to keep your sight clear on the roads.

Having a passion for helping our community, we were honored last Fall to be part of Toyota 100 Cars for Good as voters did their own good deed by voting for their favorite organizations and causes.

"Each day during 50 days, online voters chose two out of five nonprofit organizations to take home a new set of wheels. At the end of the day, the two organizations with the most votes took home a brand-new Toyota."

You can imagine how excited we were to find out There With Care was one of the chosen organizations. They were to receive a Toyota Highlander.

"There With Care’s mission is to provide a wide range of thoughtful and fundamental services to children and families during the critical phase of a medical crisis. We serve families referred by medical agencies, by building a network of services and people who ease the burden of life’s day-to-day obligations with compassion and care.

Baby Jack Care Mobile

As we presented the vehicle, the Toyota Highlander, to the organization this week, we were touched by the new name given to the Highlander. In memory of a very special child, There With Care's new Toyota Highlander will be called the "Baby Jack Care Mobile".  

In addition to delivering groceries and providing rides to and from hospital treatments, the Baby Jack Care Mobile will help volunteers deliver diapers, car seats and baby items for families who have an infant in the Neo-Natal ICU.  It's a meaningful way to honor Jack's beautiful young life, while being there for other families in crisis.
